Oh July is a busy month for doing shows and as a result I’ve been a bit behind on other things. Getting ready for the shows, teaching sculpture to school children and meeting other art groups in Cumbria to discuss collaborative opportunities have been a priority for me since June.
Whilst writing this I’m currently in Dorset having exhibited at Potfest SW at the weekend spending a couple of days recharging my batteries before heading over to Waterperry Gardens near Oxford. It’s actually quite tiring doing the shows, with all the packing, heavy lifting, long days etc but I love meeting the public and the opportunity to share my work. Last year it rained heavily at Waterperry but this weekend is looking to be a scorcher, so probably won’t need the wellies I packed just in case! Glad I packed the sunscreen thou.
After Oxford I’ll be heading to St Ives to one of my favourite galleries so I am well and truly darting all over England. It’s a mixture of work and pleasure on my trip to Cornwall so I’m really looking forward to it.
